AN ACT EXEMPTING THE POSITION OF CHIEF OF POLICE OF THE TOWN OF NATICK FROM THE CIVIL SERVICE LAW.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter 8 of the acts of 1931 is hereby repealed.

SECTION 2. The position of chief of police in the town of Natick shall be exempt from chapter 31 of the General Laws.

SECTION 3. Nothing in sections 1 and 2 shall impair the civil service status of any person holding the position of interim chief of police in the town of Natick on the effective date of this act.

SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
