AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE WATER COMMISSIONERS TO ACT AS SEWER COMMISSIONERS IN THE TOWN OF FREETOWN.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the water commissioners of the town of Freetown may act as sewer commissioners and, as sewer commissioners, they shall have all of the powers, perform all of the duties and be subject to all of the liabilities and penalties now or hereafter conferred and imposed by law on town water commissioners and town sewer commissioners.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
