AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF SHERBORN TO LEASE CERTAIN LAND IN SHERBORN TOWN FOREST FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING, OPERATING AND MAINTAINING A WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

SECTION 1. The town of Sherborn, acting by and through its board of selectmen, may change the use of a 1,600 square foot parcel of land, together with a 10 foot wide access easement approximately 450 feet in length, located in Sherborn Town Forest, and may lease both for a period not to exceed 20 years for the purposes of constructing, maintaining and operating a wireless telecommunications facility thereon. The parcel of land and the access easement for electric and telephone service from Lake street near Farm road in the town of Sherborn are shown on a sketch plan entitled “SITE PLAN; SITE NO. 4BN-0216-B, FARM ROAD SHERBORN, OFF FARM ROAD, Sherborn, MA 01770”, on file in the office of the town clerk, dated September 1, 2006 and prepared by Omnipoint Communications, Inc. of Norton, MA.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
