AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN BRIDGE IN THE TOWN OF LAKEVILLE IN HONOR OF JAMES WARREN BUZZELL, JR.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith a certain bridge in the town of Lakeville as the James Warren Buzzell, Jr. Bridge, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

Bridge L-01-001 on Howland road in the town of Lakeville shall be designated and known as the James Warren Buzzell, Jr. Bridge in honor of his distinguished military career and life-long service to our country. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect suitable markers bearing this designation in compliance with the standards of the department and any existing historic preservation guidelines or statutes.

Approved, June 23, 2011.
