AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE EXCHANGE OF CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND IN THE TOWN OF MARSHFIELD.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

SECTION 1. The town of Marshfield may transfer an approximately 2-acre portion of the parcel of land shown on the assessors maps as Lot F12-01-02 from the care and custody of the conservation commission, which holds it for conservation purposes, to the care and custody of the Marshfield board of selectmen which shall hold the land for use as the site of a wind turbine electricity generation facility. The land to be transferred is shown as “Proposed Land Exchange Parcel” on a sketch plan on file with the town clerk. As a condition of the disposition of the above 2-acre parcel which was acquired with the assistance of a self help grant from the commonwealth, the town shall acquire for conservation, groundwater protection and water supply purposes a certain parcel of land shown on Marshfield assessors map as Lot F14-02-03 containing 5.05 acres, more or less, located off the unconstructed portion of Eames way.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect on upon its passage.
