The 193rd General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF QUINCY TO ABATE CERTAIN FISCAL YEAR 2010 REAL PROPERTY TAXES.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to abate forthwith certain fiscal year 2010 real property taxes in the city of Quincy, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

Notwithstanding section 5 of chapter 59 of the General Laws, or any other general or special law to the contrary, the assessors of the city of Quincy may abate fiscal year 2010 property taxes in the amount of $1,000 assessed on a parcel of property, owned by James Wright, located at 84 Winthrop street.

Approved, January 13, 2012.
