AN ACT MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2013 TO PROVIDE FOR SUPPLEMENTING CERTAIN EXISTING APPROPRIATIONS AND FOR CERTAIN OTHER ACTIVITIES AND PROJECTS.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to make supplemental appropriations for fiscal year 2013, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
Item 1410-0400 of section 2 of chapter 139 of the acts of 2012 is hereby amended by inserting after the penultimate proviso the following proviso: provided further, that the secretary of veterans affairs may transfer an amount not to exceed $500,000 from this item to item 1410-0300 and shall notify the house and senate committees on ways and means not later than 15 days following a transfer from this account.
