AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN TRAFFIC ISLAND IN THE TOWN OF HINGHAM AS THE SERGEANT BORIS DEMKO MEMORIAL ISLAND.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

SECTION 1. The traffic island at the intersection of Route 3A and Beal street in the town of Hingham shall be designated and known as the Sergeant Boris Demko Memorial Island, in honor of United States Air Force Sergeant Demko who was killed in action during World War II. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
