AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN BRIDGE IN THE CITY OF FITCHBURG AS THE GEORGE J. BOURQUE MEMORIAL BRIDGE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
The bridge on Kimball street, spanning the Nashua river, in the Cleghorn section of the city of Fitchburg, shall be designated and known as the George J. Bourque Memorial Bridge, in honor of George J. Bourque, who served 8 years as mayor of the city of Fitchburg and 22 years in the Massachusetts house of representatives for the Third Worcester District. The highway division of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
