AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF BELMONT TO GRANT LICENSES FOR THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES NOT TO BE DRUNK ON THE PREMISES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

SECTION 1. The board of selectmen of the town of Belmont may grant licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages not to be drunk on the premises; provided, however, that not more than 2 licenses shall be in effect, including any license issued under chapter 395 of the acts of 2006. The licenses shall be subject to chapter 138 of the General Laws.

SECTION 2. The board of selectmen of the town of Belmont may grant licenses for the sale of wines and malt beverages not to be drunk on the premises; provided, however, that not more than 4 licenses shall be in effect, including those licenses issued under chapter 396 of the acts of 2006. The licenses shall be subject to chapter 138 of the General Laws.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
