AN ACT REDESIGNATING A CERTAIN BRIDGE OVER THE MERRIMACK RIVER AS THE CONGRESSMAN WILLIAM H. BATES VETERANS MEMORIAL BRIDGE
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 621 of the acts of 1970 is hereby amended by inserting after the words “Congressman William H. Bates” the following words:- Veterans Memorial.
SECTION 2. Said chapter 621 is hereby further amended by striking out the second sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
