AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN BRIDGE IN THE TOWN OF ANDOVER AS THE ANDOVER VETERANS OF THE IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN WARS MEMORIAL BRIDGE

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith a certain bridge in the town of Andover as the Andover Veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars Memorial Bridge, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
The bridge numbered A-09-027(632) and located on High Plain road spanning interstate highway route 93 in the town of Andover shall be designated and known as the Andover Veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars Memorial Bridge, in honor of the veterans who served in the armed forces of the United States in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain suitable markers on the bridge bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.

Approved, April 17, 2014.
