AN ACT VALIDATING CERTAIN ACTIONS TAKEN AT THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING HELD IN THE TOWN OF SWAMPSCOTT
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding sections 10 and 11 of chapter 43B of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the charter amendments approved by the annual town meeting in the town of Swampscott on May 15, 2006, and all actions taken pursuant thereto, are hereby ratified, validated and confirmed to the same extent as if the amendments were submitted to the attorney general and department of housing and community development immediately after the meeting and approved by the voters of the town in full compliance with the law.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
