AN ACT EXEMPTING ALBERT P. MANZI, III FROM THE MAXIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT FOR APPLYING FOR CIVIL SERVICE APPOINTMENT AS A POLICE OFFICER IN THE TOWN OF NORTH ANDOVER

     Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
     SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding chapter 31 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary regulating the maximum age of applicants for appointment as police officers, Albert P. Manzi, III of the town of North Andover, shall be eligible to have his name certified for original appointment to the position of police officer in the town of North Andover notwithstanding his having reached the age of 32 before taking the civil service examination in connection with that appointment. Albert P. Manzi, III shall be eligible for appointment to the position of police officer in the town of North Andover if he meets all other requirements for certification and appointment to this position.
     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
