AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF FALMOUTH TO CONVEY CERTAIN LAND TO THE WEST FALMOUTH LIBRARY, INC.

      Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
      SECTION 1.  (a) Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, but subject to paragraphs (a), (b) and (g) of section 16 of chapter 30B of the General Laws, the town of Falmouth may convey to West Falmouth Library, Inc., a certain parcel of land containing 8,547 square feet and shown as Parcel C on a plan of land entitled “Plan of Land prepared for West Falmouth Library in West Falmouth, MA”, dated September 11, 2014 and prepared by Holmes and McGrath, Inc. The parcel is a portion of Falmouth assessors’ parcel 24 16 016B 000 which was acquired by the town for public park purposes by deed dated March 3, 1972 and recorded in the Barnstable county register of deeds in book 1612, page 120.
      (b)  Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, as consideration for and as a condition of the conveyance authorized in subsection (a), West Falmouth Library, Inc. shall convey to the town of Falmouth a certain parcel of land containing 8,547 square feet and shown as Parcel B on the plan referenced in said subsection (a).  The parcel is a portion of Falmouth assessors’ parcel 24 16 013 002 and shall be acquired as public parkland to be used for open space, recreation or conservation purposes.
      SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
