AN ACT RELATIVE TO MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL IN THE CITY OF LAWRENCE
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3.4 of section 1 of chapter 425 of the acts of 1983 is hereby amended by striking out paragraph (a) and inserting in place thereof the following paragraph:-
(a) Holding City Office or City Employment. No member of the city council shall, during the term for which such member was elected, hold any other compensated or uncompensated city office or city employment.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
