AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE CITY KNOWN AS THE TOWN OF WATERTOWN TO PAY THE FUNERAL AND BURIAL EXPENSES OF FIREFIGHTER JOSEPH TOSCANO.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
    SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding section 100G¼ of chapter 41 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the city known as the town of Watertown may pay the reasonable expenses, not to exceed $15,000, for the funeral and burial of firefighter Joseph Toscano, who died in the performance of his duties. All related actions of the town are hereby ratified, validated and confirmed.
    SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage
