AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF BOYLSTON TO CONVEY A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

SECTION 1. (a) Notwithstanding chapter 30B and chapter 40 of the General Laws as to the sale and purchase of land or any other general or special law to the contrary, the board of selectmen of the town of Boylston may convey a parcel of land acquired for general municipal purposes that is used as the Red Knights memorial park and described in subsection (b) to the Red Knights International Firefighters Motorcycle Club, Inc. to be used as Red Knights memorial park in exchange for acquiring the parcel of land described in subsection (c) for general municipal purposes. 

(b) The land to be conveyed by the town of Boylston is located at 599 Main street in the town of Boylston and is a portion of the property described in a deed recorded with the Worcester registry of deeds in book 2722, page 266. The parcel contains approximately 16,750 square feet and is more particularly shown as “Parcel C” on a plan of land on file with the clerk of the town of Boylston entitled “Plan of Land in Boylston, Massachusetts Owned By: Parcel A & B: Red Knights International Firefighters Motorcycle Club, Inc. Parcel C: Town of Boylston” that was prepared by Thompson-Liston Associates, Inc. and is dated September 20, 2017. 

(c) The land to be acquired by the town of Boylston is located at 595 Main street in the town of Boylston and is described in a deed recorded with the Worcester registry of deeds in book 57356, page 280. The parcel contains approximately 46,573 square feet and is shown as “Parcel A” on a plan of land on file with the clerk of the town of Boylston entitled “Plan of Land in Boylston, Massachusetts Owned By: Parcel A & B: Red Knights International Firefighters Motorcycle Club, Inc. Parcel C: Town of Boylston” that was prepared by Thompson-Liston Associates, Inc. and is dated September 20, 2017.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
