AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF WILLIAMSBURG TO CONTINUE THE EMPLOYMENT OF FIRE DEPARTMENT MEMBERS ALAN EVERETT AND ROBERT LAPOINTE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Alan Everett, a member of the fire department of the town of Williamsburg, may continue in the position until he reaches 70 years of age, the date of his retirement or until his non-reappointment, whichever first occurs; provided, however, that deductions from the regular compensation of Alan Everett shall not be made pursuant to chapter 32 of the General Laws for any service subsequent to his reaching the age of 65 in connection with his service to the town for retirement or pension purposes. Upon retirement, Alan Everett shall receive a superannuation retirement allowance equal to that which he would have been entitled had he retired at the age of 65.

SECTION 2.  Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Robert Lapointe, a member of the fire department of the town of Williamsburg, may continue in the position until he reaches 70 years of age, the date of his retirement or until his non-reappointment, whichever first occurs; provided, however, that deductions from the regular compensation of Robert Lapointe shall not be made pursuant to chapter 32 of the General Laws for any service subsequent to his reaching the age of 65 in connection with his service to the town for retirement or pension purposes. Upon retirement, Robert Lapointe shall receive a superannuation retirement allowance equal to that which he would have been entitled had he retired at the age of 65.

SECTION 3.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
