AN ACT AMENDING THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF EVERETT TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF TIME THAT A FORMER CITY COUNCILOR IS REQUIRED TO WAIT BEFORE HOLDING OTHER COMPENSATED CITY EMPLOYMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The second sentence of subsection (a) of section 2-3 of article 2 of the charter of the city of Everett, which is on file in the office of the archivist of the commonwealth, as provided in section 12 of chapter 43B of the General Laws, is hereby amended by striking out the words “1 year” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- 30 days.
SECTION 2. The third sentence of said subsection (a) of said section 2-3 of said article 2 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “at least 1 year” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- 30 days.
