AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN BUILDING IN THE CITY OF FALL RIVER AS THE CAPTAIN THOMAS HUDNER JR. MEMORIAL BUILDING.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

The Fall River Heritage state park building on Davol street in the city of Fall River shall be designated and known as the Captain Thomas Hudner Jr. Memorial Building in memory of Captain Thomas Hudner Jr., a Fall River native who was a member of the United States Navy for more than 20 years and who became the first American serviceman in the Korean War to receive the medal of honor, which was awarded for his bravery, selflessness and heroism. The department of conservation and recreation shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing that designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
