AN ACT DESIGNATING UNITED STATES CADET NURSE CORPS DAY
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to establish forthwith the United States Cadet Nurse Corps Day, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 6 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 15KKKKKK the following section:-
Section 15LLLLLL. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart the first day of July as the United States Cadet Nurse Corps Day.
SECTION 2. The superintendent of the bureau of the state house shall, subject to the approval of the art commission of the state house as to size and content, install and maintain a plaque in a suitable space in Nurses Hall in the state house in honor of the Massachusetts members of the United States Cadet Nurse Corps. The Friends of the United States Cadet Nurse Corps WWII shall be responsible for the funding of the plaque.
