AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF CHELSEA TO TRANSFER PROPERTY TO THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING TRUST FUND BOARD IN THE CITY OF CHELSEA.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, not later than 1 year following the entry of an order of foreclosure of tax title, the city of Chelsea may dispose of property taken for non-payment of property taxes under chapter 60 of the General Laws by transferring such property at no cost to the city’s affordable housing trust fund board. The board shall dispose of all such property solely for the purpose of expanding the stock of affordable housing within the city by using the procedures specified in section 16 of chapter 30B of the General Laws.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
