AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE ANNUAL ELECTION OF SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEMBERS IN THE ADAMS-CHESHIRE REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 14E of chapter 71 of the General Laws, the towns of Adams and Cheshire may annually elect members to serve on the school committee of the Adams-Cheshire Regional School District, to become known as the Hoosac Valley Regional School District, on the same date and time as the annual elections in each town; provided, however, that the members’ elections shall take place pursuant to the regional agreement between the towns of Adams and Cheshire.
SECTION 2. Section 1 of chapter 2 of the acts of 1989 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
