AN ACT AUTHORIZING RICHARD DRURY TO PURCHASE CREDITABLE SERVICE FROM THE FRANKLIN REGIONAL RETIREMENT BOARD

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to provide forthwith certain retirement benefits, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Notwithstanding section 3 of chapter 71 of the acts of 1996, or any other general or special law to the contrary, the Franklin regional retirement board shall permit Richard Drury, a member of the Franklin regional retirement system, to purchase creditable service for his military service time pursuant to paragraph (h) of subdivision (1) of section 4 of chapter 32 of the General Laws.

Approved, January 6, 2020.
