AN ACT REVOKING THE TOWN OF LONGMEADOW’S ACCEPTANCE OF A CERTAIN GENERAL LAW ESTABLISHING A BOARD OF ELECTION COMMISSIONERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding section 4B of chapter 4 of the General Laws relative to the time required for a town’s revocation of its acceptance of a general law, the town of Longmeadow shall be deemed to have revoked its acceptance of section 16A of chapter 51 of the General Laws providing for a 4-member board of election commissioners.

SECTION 2.  On the effective date of this act, the town of Longmeadow shall re-establish a board of registrars, which shall consist of the town clerk and 3 other persons who shall be appointed in accordance with section 15 of chapter 51 of the General Laws.
