AN ACT CHANGING THE NAME OF THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN IN THE TOWN OF BURLINGTON TO SELECT BOARD
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3 of chapter 686 of the acts of 1970, as inserted by section 3 of chapter 160 of the acts of 1993, is hereby further amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 2. Section 8 of said chapter 686, inserted by section 1 of chapter 106 of the acts of 2017, is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 3. Section 12 of said chapter 686, as most recently amended by section 5 of chapter 133 of the acts of 2011, is hereby further amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 4. Said section 12 of said chapter 686, as so amended, is hereby further amended by striking out the word “selectmen”, the third, fourth, fifth and sixth times it appears, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
