AN ACT AUTHORIZING BRIGETTE HAMEL TO TAKE THE CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION FOR THE POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER IN THE CITY OF HAVERHILL NOTWITHSTANDING THE MAXIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law regulating the maximum age of applicants for appointment as police officers to the contrary, Brigitte Hamel of the city of Haverhill shall be eligible for appointment to the position of police officer in the city if she meets all other requirements, in which case she shall be eligible for certification and appointment to the police department of the city. This section shall apply for the 2021 Municipal Police Officer, MBTA Transit Police Officer and State Trooper Examination results.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
