AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF MIDDLEBOROUGH TO CONVEY A CERTAIN PARCEL OF CONSERVATION LAND

AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF MIDDLEBOROUGH TO CONVEY A CERTAIN PARCEL OF CONSERVATION LAND.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  (a) The conservation commission of the town of Middleborough, acting by and through its board of selectmen, may convey to Renee M. Andrews a certain parcel of conservation land which is a portion of Pratt farm and identified in a deed recorded in the Plymouth county registry of deeds in book 6673, page 151. The land consists of 10,000 square feet of land, more or less, being part of lot 3635 on the town’s assessors map 51 and shown as lot A on a plan of land entitled “28 Sachem Street, Middleborough, MA” dated February 19, 2021, prepared by Allen & Major Associates, Inc. and recorded in the Plymouth registry of deeds in plan book 65, page 437.

(b)  As consideration for the conveyance authorized in subsection (a), the board of selectmen, in consultation with the conservation commission, shall accept a certain parcel of land containing 10,000 square feet, more or less, and shown as Lot B on the plan described in said subsection (a) for conservation purposes. Such parcel shall become a part of Pratt Farm and be under the management and control of the conservation commission. The conveyance pursuant to said subsection (a) shall be contingent upon the owner of the property described in this subsection conveying such property to the town directly or by a successor in interest.

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
