AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN BRIDGE IN THE TOWN OF AUBURN AS THE ROBERT CONROY MEMORIAL BRIDGE

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

East-bound bridge number A17035, bridge identification number 1QR, on interstate highway route 290 spanning Water street in the town of Auburn, shall be designated and known as the Robert Conroy Memorial Bridge in recognition of Robert Conroy. Robert Conroy served his country during World War II and died in a 1945 battle in Italy. He was awarded a Purple Heart for his valor. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain a suitable marker bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
