SECTION 1. Notwithstanding sections 32 to 37, inclusive, of chapter 7C of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the city of Framingham may change the purpose of certain land lying to the east of the layout of Edgell road in the city of Framingham, as laid out by the county commissioners under an order dated December 31, 1925, from land held open forever as a common for the benefit of the inhabitants of Framingham pursuant to a February 12, 1926 stipulation entered by the land court in Misc. Case No. 9340, registered as Document No. 72992, in the land court division of the Middlesex southern district registry of deeds, to allow for the establishment of a right-turn lane from Edgell road to Central street. SECTION 4. No instrument or document executed pursuant to this act shall be valid unless it provides that the area of land released from the purpose of such land shall be held open forever as a common for the benefit of the inhabitants of Framingham as set forth in section 1 and shall be used solely for the purposes described in said section 1.
SECTION 5. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
