AN ACT FURTHER REGULATING THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE FIRE CHIEF OF THE WARE FIRE DEPARTMENT
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 42 of chapter 48 of the General Laws, the select board of the town of Ware shall serve as fire commissioners in the town of Ware for appointment of all fire officers and firefighters.
SECTION 2. Upon acceptance of this act by the town of Ware, the select board of the town of Ware, acting as fire commissioners, shall have sole authority to hire and promote all firefighters and fire officers in the town of Ware. The fire chief of the town of Ware shall retain all other powers, duties and responsibilities under section 42 of chapter 48 of the General Laws.
