AN ACT EXEMPTING JESUS MELENDEZ FROM THE MAXIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT FOR APPOINTMENT AS A FIREFIGHTER IN THE TOWN OF NORTH ANDOVER
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding chapter 31 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, Jesus Melendez shall be eligible to have his name certified for original appointment to the position of firefighter in the town of North Andover, notwithstanding having reached the age of 32 before taking any civil service examination in connection with that appointment. Jesus Melendez shall be eligible for appointment to the position of firefighter in the town of North Andover provided that he meets all other requirements for certification and appointment to this position.
SECTION 2. Section 1 shall take effect upon its passage.
