AN ACT RELATIVE TO CHANGING THE SWANSEA WATER DISTRICT COMMISSIONER ELECTION AND TERM
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 9 of chapter 137 of the acts of 1949, as most recently amended by section 1 of chapter 374 of the acts of 2020, is hereby further amended by inserting after the words “elected by ballot for the term of three years”, the following words:- from the day of election; provided, however, that the term concluding in 2022 shall conclude on the day of the 2022 election; provided further, that the term concluding in 2023 shall conclude on the day of 2023 election; provided further, that the term concluding in 2024 shall conclude on the day of the 2024 election.
