AN ACT AMENDING THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF ROCKLAND
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section C-2.02 of article II of the charter of the town of Rockland, which is on file in the office of the archivist of the commonwealth, as provided in section 12 of chapter 43B of the General Laws, is hereby amended by striking out the title and inserting in place thereof the following title:- Select Board.
SECTION 2. Said section C-2.02 of said article II of said charter is hereby further amended by striking out the word “Selectmen”, each time it appears, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 3. Said section C-2.02 of said article II of said charter is hereby further amended by striking out the word “selectmen”, each time it appears, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 4. Subsection A of said section C-2.02 of said article II of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “Board of”.
SECTION 5. Section C-2.17 of said article II of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 6. Section C-2.18 of said article II of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 7. Subsection (a) of said section C-2.18 of said article II of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “the selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- the select board.
SECTION 8. Subsection (b) of said section C-2.18 of said article II of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “3 selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- 3 members of the select board.
SECTION 9. Section C-2.19 of said article II of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 10. Section C-3.02 of article III of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “Board of Selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 11. Section C-3.03 of said article III of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the word “Selectmen”, each time it appears, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 12. Section C-3.05 of said article III of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the word “Selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 13. Section C-4.02 of article IV of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “Board of Selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 14. Section C-4.03 of said article IV of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “Board of Selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 15. Said section C-4.03 of said article IV of said charter is hereby further amended by striking out the word “selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 16. Section C-6.02 of article VI of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the word “Selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 17. Section C-6.03 of said article VI of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the word “Selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 18. Section C-6.04 of said article VI of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the word “Selectmen”, each time it appears, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 19. Section C-6.07 of said article VI of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 20. Subsection (d) of said section C-6.07 of said article VI of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen’s” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board’s.
SECTION 21. Section C-7.01 of article VII of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the word “Selectmen”, each time it appears, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 22. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
