AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF LUDLOW TO PAY A CERTAIN UNPAID BILL
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. (a) Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the town of Ludlow may pay from any available funds during the current fiscal year a certain unpaid bill incurred by the town totaling $98,620.00 as set forth in an invoice on file in the office of the town administrator in the town of Ludlow for goods supplied and services rendered to the town during the year 2024, which bill is legally unenforceable against the town.
(b) No bill shall be approved by the town or paid by the town pursuant to subsection (a), unless and until a certificate has been signed and filed with the town stating, under penalties of perjury, that: (i) the goods or services for which the bill had been submitted were ordered by an official or an employee of the town; and (ii) (A) such goods were delivered and received by the town; or (B) such services were rendered to the town.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
