AN ACT ALLOWING FAIR COMPENSATION OF CREDIT UNION DIRECTORS
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to allow fair compensation of credit union directors, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 20 of chapter 171 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- A credit union may compensate each of the members of its board of directors for the member’s services as a member of the board, or any committee thereof, a sum that may, from time to time, be fixed by the board of directors at an annual meeting.
