AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN BRIDGE IN THE CITY KNOWN AS THE TOWN OF METHUEN AS THE PATRIOTS' BRIDGE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


SECTION 1. The bridge on Lowell street in the center of the city known as the town of Methuen shall be designated and known as the Patriots' Bridge, in honor of those persons who were born or were residing in the town, who died in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack. The department of highways shall erect and maintain a suitable marker on the bridge bearing such designation in compliance with the standards of the department.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
