AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SICK LEAVE BANK FOR LINDA J. MAGNO, AN EMPLOYEE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL RETARDATION.

Whereas , The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to establish forthwith a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the department of mental retardation, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, the department of mental retardation shall establish a sick leave bank for Linda J. Magno, an employee of said department. Any employee of said department may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick of his sick, personal or vacation days to said sick leave bank for use by said Linda J. Magno. Whenever said Linda J. Magno terminates employment with said department or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, the balance of the sick leave time shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank.
