AN ACT RELATIVE TO TOWN MEETING WARRANTS IN THE TOWN OF NORTH ANDOVER.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


Chapter 2 of the charter of the town of North Andover, which is on file in the office of the archivist of the commonwealth as provided in section 12 of chapter 43B of the General Laws, is hereby amended by striking out section 2-2-2 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-

Section 2-2-2The warrant for the annual town meeting shall be closed not more than 75 days, but at least 40 days, before the date for the meeting, but by unanimous vote, the board of selectmen may reopen the warrant in case of emergency.The warrant for a special town meeting shall be closed not more than 40 but at least 20 days before the date of the meeting.
