AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF TAUNTON TO LEASE A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. The first paragraph of section 1 of chapter 53 of the acts of 1991 is hereby amended by striking out the last sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- Said parcel of land is shown on a plan of land, drawn by the city of Taunton engineering department, entitled “Plan of Land in Taunton, Massachusetts, Including Expansion Area to be Leased for a Head Start Facility”, dated October 1, 2008, which is on file in the engineering department of the city.
SECTION 2. The second paragraph of said section 1 of said chapter 53 is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- The lease shall be for a period to be determined by the municipal council not to exceed 50 years and any lease or extension thereof shall be subject to subsections (a), (b) and (g) of section 16 of chapter 30B of the General Laws.
SECTION 3. The sixth paragraph of said section 1 of said chapter 53 is hereby amended by inserting after the word “application,”, in line 5, the following words:- sexual orientation.
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage.Approved, November 16, 2011.
