AN ACT ESTABLISHING THE MELPET FARM STABLE OPERATIONS AND IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE TOWN OF DENNIS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

Notwithstanding section 53 of chapter 44 of the General Laws, or any other general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, there shall be a special fund in the town of Dennis to be known as the Melpet Farm Stable Operations and Improvement Fund. There shall be deposited into the fund, without further appropriation, revenue collected by the town of Dennis from the rental of the Melpet Farm stable. The fund shall be used exclusively for operations and improvements to the stable. Without further appropriation, the board of selectman of the town of Dennis shall be authorized to expend not more than 25 per cent of the monies in the fund each fiscal year. The fund shall be maintained by the town treasurer as a separate account, subject to any applicable provisions of said chapter 44 and any interest accrued shall be credited to and become part of the fund.
