The 193rd General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE FALMOUTH RETIREMENT BOARD TO ACQUIRE REAL PROPERTY IN THE TOWN OF FALMOUTH.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to authorize forthwith the Falmouth retirement board to acquire real property in the town of Falmouth, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Falmouth retirement board may, in accordance with guidelines established by the public employee retirement administration commission, purchase an appropriate real property located within the town of Falmouth to use for the administrative office of the Falmouth retirement system and may purchase or lease equipment and employ any personnel as necessary for the proper administration and transaction of the business of the retirement system.
