AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN BRIDGE IN THE TOWN OF BILLERICA AS THE HELEN KNIGHT BRIDGE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

The bridge on Gray street over the Boston and Maine railroad tracks in the town of Billerica shall be designated the Helen Knight bridge in honor of Helen Knight, an environmental and community activist on behalf of the town, whose work led to the remediation of the Iron Horse Park, a declared Superfund site. Suitable markers bearing that designation shall be erected and maintained by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation in compliance with the standards of the department.
