AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF NEWTON TO PLACE AN ADVISORY QUESTION ON THE BALLOT
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the city of Newton may place a non-binding public opinion advisory question on the ballot for either a regular or special municipal election under the procedures established by section 18A of chapter 53 of the General Laws.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
