AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TURNERS FALLS FIRE DISTRICT TO ESTABLISH CERTAIN FUNDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 5F of chapter 40 of the General Laws or sections 53E½ and 53F½ of chapter 44 of the General Laws or of any other general or special law to the contrary, the Turners Falls Fire District may establish a receipts reserved for appropriation account consistent with the purposes of subsection (1) of said section 5F of said chapter 40, revolving funds pursuant to said section 53E½ of said chapter 44 and enterprise funds pursuant to said section 53F½ of said chapter 44, all in the same manner and subject to the same requirements of said statutes as applicable to towns; provided that for purposes of this act, the executive body of the district shall be the prudential committee and the legislative body of the district shall be the district meeting.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
