AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE DEERFIELD ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION.

     Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows: 
     SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding chapter 121C of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the Deerfield Economic Development Industrial Corporation may acquire and hold land, easements and other interests in land for development, may receive or borrow public funds and may exercise the other powers identified in said chapter 121C, either directly or indirectly, for commercial, business and housing development purposes in the town of Deerfield and may convey all or a portion of such land, easements and other interests in land in a developed or undeveloped condition on the terms that it deems appropriate to accomplish such a purpose or another purpose permitted under said chapter 121C.
     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
