AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF BOYLSTON TO CONVEY A PORTION OF A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. The town of Boylston may convey a portion of a certain parcel of land known as Hillside, located along Main street and acquired by the town by an order of taking dated April 14, 1997 and recorded at the Worcester district registry of deeds in book 18761, page 25. The portion of land to be sold contains approximately 178,321 square feet of land located along the westerly sideline of Elmwood place and is shown on a sketch plan entitled “Plan of Land for Sale, Elmwood Place, Boylston, MA” dated March 7, 2016, prepared by James P. Smith, which is available for public inspection during regular business hours in the office of the town clerk. 

SECTION 2. As consideration for the conveyance authorized in section 1, the town of Boylston shall transfer a 27-acre parcel of land shown on town assessors’ map 56 as parcel 14 to the conservation commission and the conservation commission shall dedicate the parcel pursuant to Article 97 of the Amendments to the Constitution of the Commonwealth for passive recreation and conservation purposes.
