AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN BRIDGE IN THE CITY OF FALL RIVER AS THE LEONARD “LENNY” KAPLAN MEMORIAL BRIDGE.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith a certain bridge in the city of Fall River, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

The foot bridge that connects the visitors center at Fall River Heritage State Park at Davol street to Battleship Cove at 6 Central street in the city of Fall River shall be designated and known as the Leonard “Lenny” Kaplan Memorial Bridge. The department of conservation and recreation shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing that designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
