AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF TRURO TO CONVEY A PERPETUAL TRAIL EASEMENT ON CONSERVATION LAND TO TRURO CONSERVATION TRUST

     Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

     SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the town of Truro, acting by and through its board of selectmen, may convey to the Truro Conservation Trust, a Massachusetts charitable trust, a perpetual trail easement over a portion of a certain parcel of conservation land identified in section 2, extending from state highway route 6 in the town of Truro through the parcel to adjacent land owned by the Truro Conservation Trust and identified in section 3.

     SECTION 2. The parcel subject to the easement authorized in section 1 is located at 139 state highway route 6, shown as lot 5 on a plan recorded in the Barnstable county registry of deeds in plan book 569, page 44 and described in a deed recorded in the Barnstable county registry of deeds in book 14745, page 101 and was acquired by the town of Truro for the purposes of chapter 293 of the acts of 1998.

     SECTION 3. The parcel of land owned by the Truro Conservation Trust and benefiting from the easement authorized in section 1 is described in a deed recorded in the Barnstable county registry of deeds in book 29489, page 328 and shown as lot 4 on the plan referenced in section 2.

     SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
